Growing up in school I was the classic example of " has a lot of potential but is distracted by XYZ"... but this did not mean I had bad grades, I was above average but could have done better.
Being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult can be an overwhelming moment. It usually can bring up a range of emotions, from fear to relief.
